DMD Research Project
Diagnosis experience and views on testing in the future
Researchers at the Murdoch Children's Research Institue (MCRI) have developed a survey for family members of individuals with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) and are seeking their participation in a new and exciting project.
It is hoped that the research outcome will provide a better understanding whether diagnoses of DMD could occur at an earlier time point and what families think about this.
The project will seek participation from the MD Community within all States and Territories of Australia. You will be contacted by the MDA via email or mail and invited to take part in the project. Your participation will enatil the completion of a survey which can be done online. It is anticipated this survey will take about 30 minutes to complete.
Invitations seeking your participation will be emailed and mailed by 7th December 2012.
Following this date, provision will also be made for online registration for the research project.
This study has been approved by a Human Research Ethics Committee (HREC project number 30136B) and is funded by the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute and Muscular Dystrophy Australia.
