Thank you to all those who took part in
Super Dads Walk 4
What a spectacular day Saturday was, 28 Feb, with 112 dads walking through the streets of Blackburn to support Muscular Dystrophy Australia. The day was a huge success and a lot of laughs were had by all. Thank you to Brett and Katrina Bugeja for organising the fourth annual ‘Super Dads Walk’. The Bugejas joined the MDA family many years ago when they took part in the very first ChallengeMD Vietnam 2006 pedalling from the north to the south.
The Super Dads Walk was the brains trust of Dean Thorn, Pete Ciardulli, Jamie Oshanassy, Andy Worner and Hayley Compton when they decided over a few beers to try and make a difference and to support research into finding a cure for Muscular Dystrophy. A simple concept of over 100 dads walking through local streets from house to house sampling food and beer from 7 different countries.
MDA Executive Director, Boris M Struk, met up with the group at the half-way point and thanked them for their wonderful effort. MDA would like to congratulate and thank all who participated in this year’s Super Dads 4 Walk. Last year’s event raised $23,501 and we’re looking forward to finalising the tally shortly for this year's walk.
